VOLUNTEERISM, EXTRACURRICULAR, INTERESTS

Extracurriculars and where “work” and “life” overlap:

• Grateful, clean, healthy living + kitchen creativity instigator
• Triathlon (swim+bike+run) hobbyist and perpetual goal-chaser. 6 Ironman (140.6 miles) finishes (thus far) and multiple short-course races completed.
• Marathons (26.2 miles) and ultra-marathons (more than 26.2) completed, with more to come!
• Proud dad coaching and supporting my children’s sports and activities
• Frequent, life-long international traveler

 
Disability Division Race Guide:

• Guiding athletes with various disabilities (physical, auditory and seeing-impaired) through marathon courses (Detroit, New York) to help them achieve their goals.
• 10 finishes so far since 2011, including 4 U.S. veterans. 
• Most in assistance to and support of the Achilles International organization

All things water:

• Open and pool swimming, kayaking, SUPs, snorkel and scuba diving, boating, PWC, waterskiing, surfing…
• Ice skating, snow skiing, all-season trail running and migrating all round-out my favorite winter activities.
